Summary

The academic establishment of educational aid raises expectations that are connected with an expansion of qualification of pedagogical professionals in social work. Against this background, the previous training of pedagogical professionals has to be altered regarding the teaching contents and the requirement profiles to match the current professional needs. To achieve the broad objective of developing and professionalizing pedagogical work, the teaching contents and requirement profiles in the field of social computer science in all training facilities will be adapted to the professional needs. For this purpose a specifically designed software (EVAS) will be adjusted to the unique requirement profiles of the partner countries and the training programs for pedagogical professionals will be brought up to standard regarding social computer science.

The approach of the project can be divided in three sections:

  1. First, new content is integrated in the already existing curricula for the training of prospective social pedagogues and educators. This content depends on the degree in which pedagogical professionals need to work with EDP-based documentation and quality development.
  2. Additionally, teachers in professional schools and
  3. Already practicing pedagogues in educational aid will be trained in this field.
